Grounds Krewe is seeking a reliable, organized, and creative Social Media & Community Events Associate to support our team this fall through leading up to our busy Mardi Gras season. This flexible, part-time role (20–30 hours per week) is ideal for someone who has experience with social media content creation, enjoys hands-on work and community engagement, and is looking to contribute to a sustainability-focused mission. The role requires regular lifting, moving, and other physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support social media efforts, including content creation, posting, and storytelling
Serve as on-site volunteer event assistant
Help assemble, organize, and inventory sustainable Mardi Gras throws
Pre and post event loading/unloading up to 50lb boxes at warehouse/storage locations
Support community outreach events with schools, universities and corporate groups.
Provide general operational support and assist with team needs as they arise
Qualifications
Availability from mid-September through mid-February, with increased availability leading up to Mardi Gras season
Must have occasional weekend, evening and daytime availability
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with counting and inventory
Ability & willingness to lift and move boxes in unconditioned warehouse
Friendly, people-oriented, and comfortable engaging with the public
Creative mindset with an interest in storytelling and digital content
Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
Valid driver’s license
Comfortable driving a cargo van or box truck
Willingness to provide professional references
$20/hr
