Can I receive an order out of season? Our nonprofit’s mission is to help reduce parade waste by offering eco-friendly parade throws to riders at little to no markup over the cost of creation. We encourage people to shop our Sustainable Throw Catalog specifically for Mardi Gras parades, and we typically open order fulfillment and pickup in January to help ensure this. The seasonal focus helps us keep our prices low, meet demand, and stay aligned with our core mission of parade waste prevention. Exceptions can be made for larger orders that meet our mission criteria.

When will I get my order? Purchases will be fulfilled in the order in which they are received. The catalog will go live around August 1st every year and fullfillment will start approximately 6 weeks before parade season. An email will be sent when your order is ready to schedule pickup through our online platform, Calendly.

Does Grounds Krewe provide shipping? As a small business initiative, we are trying to be as efficient as possible with our time and encourage in store pick up by appointment at 3962 Magazine St. Let’s meet and talk about a better Mardi Gras! If in store pick up is not possible, please send us a message and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Can throw designs be customized? With a sufficient minimum order and time we would be happy to work with you on a custom design. Parade throws must be free of any commercial or trademarked imagery and wording however. Please contact us with inquiries.

Are items heavier than typical throws? The throws are all between 1oz & 5oz in weight, which is lighter than a typical medium sized “chunky” bead which weighs over 6oz.

Are consumable items allowed as throws? The City of New Orleans Code of Mardi Gras Ordinances does NOT prohibit consumable items. It does prohibit items branded with a commercial sign, logo or symbol, which our offerings do not have. All of our consumable throws are packed and sealed by the producer for freshness, safety and protection.

What are your order and return policies? In the event that you need to return merchandise, please send us an email at info@groundskrewe.org. We must be notified of your desire to return merchandise within 3 days of receipt of your order. You must contact us before attempting to make a return. We only accept unopened items for return, and any decision to accept a return is at our discretion. There is a 15% restocking fee, shipping is non-refundable, and you must pay the return shipping costs. Please see our Terms & Conditions
